I can't go past Spaghetti & Meatballs. Just looking at the dish makes me happy. I have to say I make the best damn meatballs other than my mum. Pair that with a slightly chilled glass of shiraz surrounded by family and great friends and you will find it hard to move me from the table.
Giovanni is an internationally award-winning director who is highly regarded and incredibly experienced in the “Tabletop Food” genre. Gio has a strong visual sense and a uniquely fresh approach that has seen him direct consistently for some of the biggest global brands.
Most recently, Gio has been working with McDonald’s Australia & New Zealand, Aldi Australia, Hungry Jack’s, Domino’s, Continental Foods & Red Rooster - to name a few. Prior to this, his background in feature film and long-form television is equally impressive, having worked alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Gio worked on films like Superman Returns, Star Wars, Moulin Rouge, Australia, The Matrix Trilogy, The Thin Red Line and The Knowing with Alex Proyas as a key 2nd Assistant Director.
In addition, Gio has created and directed eight television series in the food genre for local networks such as SBS, Channel Seven, ABC and TV3 in New Zealand, with all shows broadcasting internationally. His first TV series My Family Feast won ‘Best in World’ at the World Food Media Awards in Paris and was nationally archived in the State Library of NSW as a program of cultural significance.
In the food genre, Gio has also worked with superstar chefs which many of whom have been crowned as world’s best such as Heston Blumenthal, Rick Stein, Daniel Humm, Alian Passard and Dominique Crenn.
Creatively, Gio brings a wealth of filmmaking experience to his food work and has incredible talent when it comes to story and narrative in long-form and live action performance.

Benjamin O'Donnell

Ben is an award-winning screen producer with a wealth of experience with the biggest ad agencies across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. Commercial accolades include runner-up in bestadsontv.com, Top 5 worldwide on ad forum and a Bronze at AWARD 2022. Equally at home on a sound stage as he is running big budget live action and VFX-driven projects, Ben is one of Australia's most experienced producers of Tabletop food photography. He has produced literally hundreds of food-focused commercials, interstitials, stills as well as campaigns where high-speed photography and robotic motion control technologies are required. Clients have included, ALDI, McDonald’s, Cadbury, Subway, Red Rooster, IGA, Woolworth’s, Hungry Jack’s, Continental, Moccona and Nestle, amongst others.
In terms of longer-form food content, Ben was creator, series producer and co-director of television series Tasty Conversations (SBS Food, FYI Asia) and his latest TV project is co-directing and series producing with Gio Pacialeo on food & travel show Eat Roam Relish: Sarawak, Malaysia (2024) with Masterchef Singapore host Audra Morrice.
A creative producer who is fully engaged from a project’s conception through to delivery, Ben holds a degree in music education and was a secondary school music teacher for over ten years. In 2020, he became the inaugural producer/director of the HSC Showcase performance recordings across OnSTAGE, Callback and ENCORE for the NSW Government.
As a producer Ben prides himself on the client and Agency relationships he has fostered and maintained over the years and is always the first to undertake research & development to better understand a product and offer something uniquely creative and according to budget.
Ben currently has long-form series in development across lifestyle and scripted drama. His narrative short film work has been screened and awarded at some of the world's most prestigious festivals, such as Ciclope, Tropfest, Slamdance, St Kilda and Flickerfest.

My favourite memories throughout my life have revolved around making and eating fresh pasta. Whether it's cooking at home or enjoying it with family and friends. Pasta has made a cultural impact globally and one woman pushed it a little further delivering one of my favourite quotes. “I'd much rather eat pasta and drink wine than be a size zero.” Sophia Loren 1965.
Rosa in an exceptional executive producer, having run Caliber Film and boasting a host of clients and brands to her body of work. Having accomplished work in various genres including long-form television series, online content, TVCs and stills photography, Rosa is a foodie at heart and is passionate about creating content that excites, eductaes and entices audiences no matter the platform.
